July 12-13, 2008 Art in the Park Festival
Join us for Northbrook's premier outdoor art festival taking place in the Village Green Park, 1320 Shermer Road. Artists from across the country will be exhibiting and selling their work. Food, live music and a wide assortment of other activities will make this a great experience for art lovers and the whole family.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Sunday: 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

ARTISTS WANTED
Caught in the Act, Northbrook Public Library's Sixth Annual Juried Art Show Application Deadline, July 1, 2008.
The Northbrook Public Library is seeking entries for its sixth annual international juried art show,Caught in the Act, to be held October 3-31. Artists 18 years and older, working in all two-dimensional and three-dimensional art media, are invited to submit slides or digital entries. This exhibition is limited to original, fine arts only. Caught in the Act seeks the moment of the numinous, the captured instant that reveals and questions what is hidden. Artists should be aware that the exhibit is open to the general public and artwork must be viewable for all ages. Prizes include a $2,000 purchase prize as well as numerous other prizes. Entry fee is $25 for three submissions. Deadline for submission is July 1. Juror announcement will be posted on the Northbrook Public Library website in coming months.
